It's Winter here at Prince Resort and that means the weather is warm one day, and cool the next. We are excited about the many great things happening around the property, especially the re-construction of the historic Cherry Grove Pier. With spring just around the corner, the resort is looking marvelous! We look forward to seeing everyone in 2023.
Prince Resort would like to welcome Shanikwa Fordham as the new Guest Services Manager. Shanikwa moved to Georgetown from New York City in 2005 and has a degree in computer science. She has held several positions in the hospitality industry and knows many facets of our business.
Meeting guests and getting to know them is one of Shanikwa's favorite things about her job: "I believe that each guest should feel like they are at home, when they are staying with us." Shanikwa is also an avid reader and has the mantra of "Hospitality is simply an opportunity to show love and care".
We have been working on several projects this offseason to help keep Prince Resort as a premier oceanfront resort. We have upgraded our rooms to include white linen, as well as new furniture and flooring in many units. The steps that lead to the oceanfront pool area have been pressure washed and painted and we have also completed the large painting project from last year. It's a great time to be at Prince Resort!
Reconstruction has begun on the Cherry Grove Pier after Hurricane Ian did a number on it in October. The pylons have arrived and we are all anticipating it's reopening soon!
Celebrate Valentine's weekend at the beach with a night filled with amazing food and romance! Prince Resort's on-site oceanfront restaurant is hosting its annual Valentine's dinner on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
3500 Ocean Grill will be serving an expertly prepared menu that will truly tantalize your taste buds!
I really appreciate my room being guaranteed and being able to check in without waiting in line. Those two things were wonderful. I also like being able to communicate via text with the [resort] staff. And they were very helpful when I texted with them! They were attentive without being intrusive. Nice!
